Sunday Chef Soiree: COLONIA VERDE x POPINA featuring Chef Felipe Donnelly

No one knows how to backyard BBQ quite like Colonia Verde's Executive Chef Felipe Donnelly. 

Sunday Asado's at Colonia Verde have become a favorite pastime for so many. The restaurant hosts chefs and grillmasters from all over the world to take over their backyard for a - in their words - "no fuzz, no frills BBQ'ing afternoon among friends and neighbors." We were so excited to bring that to our backyard for a Sunday afternoon. 

Complementing his menu (below) were featured beverages to include beer from Transmitter Brewing as well as mezcal offerings.

Menu:

  • Lomo al Trapo (Colombian-Style Beef Tenderloin)
  • Smoked Lamb Carnitas
  • Mixed Pea Salad with Summer Vegetables and Herbs
  • Heirloom Tomato Ceviche
  • Corn Salad with Pepitas, Mint & Cumin Dressing
  • Bright-flavored sauces to include Chimichurri, Burnt Tomatilla Salsa and Chipotle Cream
