AR PE PE WINEMAKER DINNER featuring Isabella Pelizzatti Pérego
We're thrilled to welcome Isabella Pelizzatti Pérego, fifth-generation winemaker of the acclaimed Ar Pe Pe, to Popina for an evening featuring some of the Ar Pe Pe's most beloved wines, paired alongside a four-course menu from Chef Chris McDade (full menu and pairings listed below).
For more than 150 years, Ar Pe Pe has maintained its reputation as one of the best traditional - and most exciting - wineries in the Valtellina region. One of Northern Italy's hidden gems, the steep, terraced hillside vineyards of Valtellina in the shadow of the Alps, yields lighter Nebbiolo-based wines, reflective of both finesse and aromas unique to the region.
Ar Pe Pe's continued commitment to a meticulous and patient methodology has produced 'the purest, sincerest expression of this land and of the people who cultivate it with such dedication.'
The dinner will take place rain or shine, and we're hopeful that the forecast will allow for an evening in Popina's backyard garden.
